Local Scour Depth Prediction of Offshore Wind Power Monopile Foundation Based on GMDH Method

چکیده
In recent years, Chinese offshore wind farms have experienced varying degrees of foundation scour since their completion. The maximum depth pile foundations has far exceeded the design depth, which seriously threatens safety turbines. Among current prediction formulas, values calculated by specification 65-1, 65-2 formula are small and results on dangerous side. value American Hec-18 is safe but conservative. other specifications a large deviation from actual situation. Based available test data, main factors influencing local foundations, gauge analysis method, group method data handling (GMDH), this paper proposes for monopile under action wave–current. addition, flume experiments were conducted. Combining experimental monitoring Rudong farm in Jiangsu, equation code equation, DNV HEC-18 Rudolph Raaijmakers compared analyzed. show that relative error, mean variance, normalized variance between predicted measured paper’s smaller than those formulas. high calculation accuracy practical application value.

An Investigation into the Effect of Scour on the Loading and Deformation Responses of Monopile Foundations
Severe foundation scour may occur around monopile foundations of offshore wind turbines due to currents and waves. The so-called p-y curves method is suggested in the existing design recommendations to determine the behavior of monopiles unprotected against scour and the reduction of effective soil stress is accounted for by the extreme scour depth. This conservative design approach does not co...
متن کاملSoil–structure reliability of offshore wind turbine monopile foundations
An overview of offshore wind turbine (OWT) foundations is presented, focusing primarily on the monopile foundation. The uncertainty in offshore soil conditions as well as random wind and wave loading is currently treated with a deterministic design procedure, though some standards allow engineers to use a probability-based approach. Laterally loaded monopile foundations are typically designed u...
متن کاملReliability analysis of monopile offshore wind turbine support structures
We probe the reliability of monopile support structures designed to support industrial scale turbines along the coastal United States using stochastic models for the wind and wave loadings, and representations of the uncertainty associated with soil properties. The turbine support structure investigated is that promulgated by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as typical of a monopile sup...
متن کاملDynamic Analysis of Offshore Wind Turbine Towers with Fixed Monopile Platform Using the Transfer Matrix Method
In this paper, an analytical method for vibrations analysis of offshore wind turbine towers with fixed monopile platform is presented. For this purpose, various and the most general models including CS, DS and AF models are used for modeling of wind turbine foundation and axial force is modeled as a variable force as well. The required equations for determination of wind turbine tower response ...
متن کاملNumerical and Experimental Modeling of Scour at Foundation Structures for Offshore Wind Turbines
There is presently a lack of knowledge of scour progression for complex offshore foundation structures, such as Tripod foundations for offshore wind turbines. Typically, scour is investigated in physical model tests. As an extension, parts of the investigations could be carried out by using numerical methods; however, such numerical methods require that all relevant processes leading to scour a...
